Full-Size Temporary or Compact Temporary Tires: What's the Difference?

When you're driving down the highway and you hear your tire blow out, you'll be glad to know that you have a spare on your vehicle. But did you know that there are different kinds of spare tires? There are compact, temporary spare tires and full-size spare tires. The kind that you have can affect how you drive until you get a regular tire back on your vehicle.

The compact, temporary spare tire is slightly smaller than your regular tires, and you can only drive on it for a short distance and at less than a certain speed. On the other hand, a full-size spare tire is the same size as your other tires, but it's not as thick, so you can't drive it as long as a regular tire. A full-size temporary tire also won't interfere with ABS.

If you need a spare or a new set of regular tires, come to our dealership for help in picking them out.
