It is no secret that Mercedes-Benz is working towards making autonomous driving possible. Each release of new technology is putting them one step close, and the coming soon 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan will be a very big step.
A section of the Driver Assistance Program includes a variety of features that will work to give the driver the maximum amount of information in the most practical way. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC gives improved map and navigational information, while Active speed Limit Assist adjusts speed. Steering Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Active Emergency Stop Assist have been greatly improved upon for the release of the 2018 S-Class Sedan. Traffic Sign Assist will display speed limits for current sections of road, and if the driver chooses, will visibly or audibly warn the driver if they are going over that speed limit.
